RidgeLock Modular Utility System NEW MECHANICAL LATCH OPTION!!! I decided i wanted a mechanical option that has more locking power in case i mount something on a UTV. I have provided everything from the original model and added a tool and tray attachment! The spring i used is from amazon and it is 10mm diameter x 25mm long, It is also stainless steel so it should last a long time. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C33CTW3C?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It is simple to assemble: When you place the pin through the left side of the latch assembly make sure to line the flat side of the pin with the flat side of the bracket housing. You may have to work it back a forth a few times loosen the hole in the housing if there is any drooping filament from the print. * the attachments are meant to be used with the bracket they are with in the print profile. they will fit in the other but will not lock or latch. Original Bracket: This has been a work in progress for some time. I wanted something I could mount to my truck and possibly a cooler and have multiple attachments. Prototype after prototype i finally got it all sized correctly so they snap securely in the mount. I have had it mounted in my truck for 3 weeks and has held nicely with a canister full of bungies. I printed in ASA so it all can hold up to the elements. Although my printer (P2S) doesn't handle ASA perfectly so the canister warped slightly. I suggest printing in Pet -g or ASA if its going to outside. And a CF or GF version would make it even more sturdy. I used torx screws to install in on the truck. I designed a support in to the fishing rod holder to help stabilize it during the print. It should break off pretty easily and require little to no cleanup.
