Base for a mobile phone holder for VW T6.1. I designed this base because in the Volkswagen Transporter 6.1 there is no air conditioning outlet grille next to the steering wheel and it is difficult to place a mobile phone close to the steering wheel. The base works with many standard mobile phone holders that use a 17 ball joint for attachment. For example, Swissten, Baseus, and many cheap Qi2 holders from Temu or Ali. It is ideal to print from Bambulab PETG CF. Carbon fiber will give the surface a matte look and the holder does not visually disturb the dashboard. The shade matches the color of the dashboard nicely. I strongly recommend not printing from PLA, in summer the PLA holder will be destroyed by the temperature. The shank of the ball joint is reinforced with a wood screw with a conical head, thread diameter 4mm, total length 25mm. Transparent acrylic double-sided tape is ideal for sticking to the dashboard. If necessary, remove the base from the dashboard, just apply a few drops of alcohol under the tape and use a plastic pry bar for mobile phones to remove the holder without leaving any visible traces.
