# Magnetic Toggle Switch The iOS switch, but you can actually flip it. A desk fidget inspired by the toggle we've all tapped a million times — except this one snaps between ON and OFF with real magnets. No electronics, no springs, no glue needed. ## Specs - Assembled size: 36 × 20 × 15.8 mm (V1) / 36 × 20 × 13.8 mm (V2) - 3 printed parts per switch: case, slider, knob - 3 magnets Ø10 × 5 mm per switch - Print time: ~[X] min per plate | ~[X] g filament Two versions are included, one per plate. V2 has a lower profile — print whichever fits your desk better, or both. ## What you need - 3× neodymium magnets, Ø10 × 5 mm (per switch) - That's it. No screws, no glue, no supports. ## Print settings (tested profile is saved in the 3MF) - Printer: Bambu Lab A1, 0.4 mm nozzle - Layer height: 0.2 mm - Walls: 2 | Top: 5 | Bottom: 3 | Infill: 15% grid - Supports: none - Material: PETG (PLA works too — slightly crisper click) - Just slice the project as-is and hit print. ## Assembly (about a minute) 1. Press two magnets into the slider pockets — both ends. 2. Press one magnet into the knob. 3. **Check polarity before inserting:** the knob magnet must ATTRACT both slider magnets. Stack all three, mark the top face with a marker, then insert marked-side-up in the slider and marked-side-down in the knob. 4. Drop the slider into the case, seat the knob on top. Done. The magnets are a press fit — if yours are slightly undersized, a drop of super glue holds them permanently. ## Tuning the fit Printer tolerances vary more than the model does: - Knob too tight in the case → scale the case to 100.5% in X/Y - Knob rattles → scale to 99.5% - Magnet pocket too tight → don't force it, the walls are thin; scale that part up 0.5% instead ## Color Print the slider in green and the case in white for the classic ON state — or do a filament swap at the layer where the slider top begins. --- Printed one?
