A compact enclosure for an ESP32 DevKit (WROOM-32) paired with a Waveshare HMMD 24GHz mmWave human presence sensor, built for DIY smart-home presence detection projects running ESPHome and Home Assistant. The HMMD sensor detects human micro-motion (not just simple PIR-style movement), reporting live presence and distance over UART. Combined with an ESP32 running ESPHome, this makes a reliable desk or room occupancy sensor for triggering lights, monitors, or any Home Assistant automation, including detecting presence even when sitting relatively still. Designed for quick, solder-free setup: just 4 female jumper wires (3V3, GND, TX, RX) between the sensor and the ESP32. No soldering required, wire it up and go. Two-part design: base and cover, holding both the ESP32 board and the mmWave sensor module with clearance for their wiring.
