Memoir '44 – Compact Storage System for Base Game & Expansions A compact and practical storage solution for Memoir '44, designed to fit the base game and many of the most commonly played expansions into just two original Memoir '44 boxes . This is my first design project and something I originally created for my own collection. I wanted a solution that looks great on the table, is easy to use during gameplay, and most importantly: avoids carrying around a tackle box or a large stack of separate expansion boxes. The system is designed around: Memoir '44 Base Game – Refresh Edition Terrain Pack Equipment Pack Winter Wars Pacific Theater Mediterranean Theater Eastern Front Through Jungle and Desert Winter/Desert Board New Flight Plan All of this can be stored across: Memoir '44 Refresh Edition box Memoir '44 Equipment Pack box The Refresh Edition box is completely filled and fits together very nicely. The Equipment Pack box still has some room available for additional inserts and future additions. Designed for playing, not just storage The miniatures are organized into separate compartments for each unit type , making it easy to quickly find what you need during setup and gameplay. The layout is designed to use the available space as efficiently as possible while still keeping the different units organized and easy to access. The inserts also work well as practical tabletop trays, helping to make setup and cleanup faster without having to sort everything again after each game. Sleeved card storage The card box is designed to store all cards sleeved . This way, you can keep your cards protected without giving up the compact storage setup. New Flight Plan A dedicated storage box for New Flight Plan is also included. Please note that I do not own this expansion myself , so this specific box has not yet been physically tested with the original components. The design is based on the component dimensions, but feedback from players who own New Flight Plan is very welcome. A small compromise If you store all manuals, maps and documentation together with the inserts, the box lid may sit slightly higher than normal. For me personally, this is still a much better solution than carrying around multiple separate expansion boxes or using a large tackle box. You don't need every expansion You do not need to own all of the expansions to use this system. If your collection is smaller, you can simply print the parts you need. For example, you can start with: Allies box Axis box Basic game component box ...and expand the storage system later as your Memoir '44 collection grows. Included in the current set The current set contains: Allies storage box + lid Axis storage box + lid Two Axis lid versions: WWI style and WWII style Hex tile holders suitable for the expansions listed above Card storage for sleeved cards New Flight Plan storage box Component boxes with a thematic design Practical tabletop trays for fast setup and cleanup The goal was not only to make everything more compact, but also to give the storage a look that fits the game and makes the whole collection feel even better on the table. Work in progress This project is still being expanded. Currently planned or in progress: Card holder for Through Jungle and Desert Card holders for Overlord Additional storage for custom printed terrain such as bunkers, bridges and other accessories There is still some usable space left in the Equipment Pack box, so I am looking at how much more can be added while keeping the whole system practical. I decided to upload the project already so that people who like the idea can start printing instead of waiting until every last part is finished. About this project This is a hobby project. I am not a professional designer , and this is actually my first published design. I created it because I wanted a compact and practical storage solution for the way I play Memoir '44.
