Modular Mouse Bungee V2 – Adjustable Stability & Flexible Cable Support Modular Mouse Bungee V2 V2 is an evolution of my original 3D-printed mouse bungee, redesigned with a modular stability system and flexible TPU components. The goal was to create a bungee that is stable on the desk while still allowing the cable to move naturally with the mouse. ⚠️ MATERIALS ARE IMPORTANT Please use the recommended materials. This design relies on the different properties of PETG and TPU, so simply printing every part in the same material can significantly change how the bungee performs. PETG — Structural parts: Provides the rigidity needed for the main body and support structure. TPU 95A — Flexible parts/modules: Provides flexibility, grip, and the spring-like behavior needed for the cable support and stability system. Do not substitute PLA for the TPU parts. The flexible components are specifically designed around TPU's flexibility. Likewise, using a very soft TPU for structural components may make the bungee unnecessarily flexible. Modular Stability V2 uses interchangeable TPU stability modules, allowing the base to be configured to suit your setup. Experiment with different configurations and see what works best for your desk and mouse cable. For the best stability, I recommend using either adhesive or additional weight to help keep the base firmly grounded on your desk. The exact amount needed will depend on your setup and how aggressively you move your mouse. Remix It! I'd love to see what you come up with. The modular system is intentionally designed to make experimentation easy, so feel free to remix the modules, experiment with different TPU geometries, colors, stiffnesses, or even create your own stability system. Make sure your slicer settings are appropriate for the material you're using, especially for TPU. V2 is designed to be printed as a functional mechanical part, not just a decorative model.
