Updates: The powered stern module is out now! Head HERE , order your cyberbrick components, print the new stern and have fun! (please use the buy now link on the model listing, I get a small commission which helps me design fun things like this!) Also now released, a stability assist module for 60mm pool noodles. The boat floats great without these. But if you're going somewhere with larger waves or will be carrying only heavy glass bottles I suggest printing a set of these and buying some pool noodles. This drastically helps side to side stability! Bottleship: The Ultimate Floating Modular Beverage Carrier Command your next pool party with Bottleship , a heavy-duty, 3D-printed floating battleship designed to keep your drinks upright and ready for action. Print two ships, bring a ping pong ball and now you have a floating drinking battle! Key Features Modular Hull Design: Print as many mid-sections as you want! Expand your ship to hold extra beverages. Want to bring a 12 pack with you in the lake? Print 13 midships (or 12 if you don't care about the bridge) and there ya go! Rock-Solid Stability: Deep hull geometry and built-in ballast compartments prevent tipping, even in wavy pool conditions. Even fully submerged it'll still float! Universal Fit: Accommodates standard 12 oz cans, tallboys, slim cans, and standard glass beer bottles. Easy Tool-Free Assembly: Interlocking segments slide together securely for quick setup and easy disassembly/storage. No Support Hassle: No suports needed! Everything prints in place. Uses CanTainer Parametric cup design: Navigate here to print your own, custom sized drink sleeve to perfectly hold your beverage of choice. Use it to hold all of your drinks in the pool or lake, OR: The party game: Game setup : Fill a drink cup partially and insert into each drink holder. Each team gets to adjust the turrets on the ship in the most advantageous possible position for them (think of a backboard on a basketball hoop, banking it in is an option!). 2 player / 1 ship : Players take turns throwing a single ping pong ball at the beverages in the holders. When one person makes it in to the opposing players drink, they have to go and finish that drink. When all the drinks for a player are gone the game is over. The winner can then celebrate by drinking all of thier drinks! Hooray! 2+ player / 2 ships: Each side gets to throw one ping pong ball per available drink. (6 drinks per side? 6 ping pong balls per turn). When a pingpong ball lands in the opposing teams drink, they have to drink that drink and they also LOSE one pingpong ball throw (like the cannon was destroyed!). Once a side runs out of drinks, the game is over and the opposing team can finish their drinks in celebration! Assembly Assemble the bow, mid-sections, and stern by sliding them together using the dovetail slots. Add the locking pin to the top. (NOTE - If you're printing this without using the included 3mf file, do NOT go beyond .2 layer height (ie .28), the friction between the layers will be too great and will not go together easily, if at all) Add weight (pennies/coins work, stick on 1/4oz wheel weights are a great option) to the ballast holders and install them in the slots inside the midship sections. I suggest at least 100g of weight per side, more if you're going to be using bottles exclusively (it becomes quite tippy with a full bottle in all slots): Install the splash guards. Glue the Bridge Adapter to the bottom of the Bridge (this is optional if you want the style) and install in the center of your ship Install the Cup Guns Install the screws with the propshaft pegs. Add some glue to the holes and press fit. Load up your favorite beverages, set sail, and enjoy! And yes, my next plan is to design and implement an RC version of not only this ship, but the base CanTainer and Edmund Fitzgerald CanTainer ship too! I have a Cyberbrick kit now and I'm working on a modular system that will fit all of my cupholder designs.
