The Current Kits LED Work Light is a fully 3D-printable tool designed around common power-tool batteries. Choose the battery version that matches what you already own — DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, or Bosch Pro — print the parts, add the electronics and hardware, and build a functional work light from scratch.
This project was designed to be more than just something cool to print. It's a genuinely useful workshop tool that can be repaired, customized, and rebuilt instead of thrown away.

Print Settings
The work light is easiest to print and works great in PLA, although you can use whatever material you prefer if you would like a tool that is more durable or more heat resistant.
Recommended settings:
0.4mm nozzle
0.16mm layer height
3 Exterior walls (6 for pivot bracket)
15% gyroid infill (25% for pivot bracket)
No brim required
Supports - Only a couple of manual tree supports in the specified areas in the build guide/3mf file.
Bambu Studio 3MF build plates are provided for each battery version, with the parts arranged and print settings included.

For simplicity the electronics are intentionally designed to be assembled separately before installing them into the printed components. The build guide walks through soldering the shutoff circuit, attaching the battery terminals, installing the electronics into the handle, and completing the final assembly. Important: Follow the wiring instructions in the build guide carefully. Incorrect connections will damage the electronics.
