Download the .3mf file. Print tray 1 and 2, then choose between tray 3 (pointy star) and tray 4 (rounded star). The parts are divided up according to the different filament colors I used. Prints rely heavily on brims, but do not require any supports. I had a lot of trouble getting the extension rod to print properly (it kept failing at the threads). However, printing 2 rods simultaneously solved it.
Insert the credit card between the two halves of the star.
Slide the threaded piece onto the hexagon formed when the two halves of the star are placed together.
Insert the rectangular peg into the square channel to lock the threads in position.
Press the top ball onto the star to fully lock the two halves of the star together. This is a friction fit. If the ball slides very tightly and is difficult to remove, just wait an hour for the materials to relax. At this point, it will be much easier to remove the ball.Â
NOTE 1: Since your printer and filament will vary, you may find printing the ball at scale (98% or 102%) works best for you.
Screw the wand extension rod onto the star. I recommend holding the rod by the large end that is threading onto the star to avoid shearing (breaking) it. If threads are tight, then thread 10% and unthread, thread 25% and unthread, thread 50% and unthread... to slowly work the threads in. Brute force assembly can lead to the threads binding (getting stuck) and is easily avoidable.
Thread the handle on and the build is complete.
