Before printing this model, read the entire description carefully

THIS MODEL IS PURELY A TOY
I assume no responsibility for inappropriate use of the model or any damage caused by it. Never point this toy at your face (or anyone else's) or at fragile objects. Please also be careful when using this model around pets (cats, dogs, etc.).
The model is prohibited for children under 5 years of age, especially without the presence of an adult.

I'm proud to present the most ambitious project I've ever created: the Working Toy Pump-Action Shotgun. This is a 100% 3D printable and capable of firing a harmless projectile using the brand new Working Toy Cartridge V2

Instructions (must read before printing!):

Before printing:

Before starting the print, do a quick automatic calibration of your printer (mainly bed leveling).
Make sure the print bed is clean, so that the components do not have adhesion problems.
Use the recommended materials. For the springs in particular, it is absolutely necessary to use PETG (translucent PETG is recommended) to ensure proper functioning of the toy (PLA for the springs is not suitable and will not work).
Since it is a toy, I recommend printing this model using bright colors, like fuchsia and purple.
I'll be more than happy to see what crazy color combinations you can come up with XD, I therefore kindly ask you to post pictures of the printed toy in the comments:)

During printing:

Make sure the first three layers are printed correctly (serious errors often occur in the first layer).
If you use a bed slinger, slow down the print speed to prevent tall components from falling.
Check on your printer every now and then to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Once the printer is finished, don't remove the components immediately, but wait 5-10 minutes for them to cool. Removing them too quickly will cause slight deformation of the PLA, which could cause problems with the toy's operation.

After printing:

Gently remove the supports and make sure the brim is completely removed. Some supports require a little more force and patience to remove, even if optimized.
For part 26_PLA it is essential, to ensure accurate operation, that the top surface (the green one) that rests on the supports is smooth after their removal. Therefore any remaining support must be removed.

Use the following tutorial to assemble the toy.
For assembly it is recommended/necessary to use the following tools:
Tweezers are required/recommended to insert the filament pieces and remove any supports
Superglue is required to glue the parts together as shown in the tutorial
Scissors are needed to cut the pieces of filament to the appropriate length

Using the toy:

Although it is purely a toy, it is necessary to know how to use and handle it correctly. It is strictly forbidden to use this model outside of your private property, even if you use the colored tip (orange/red).

While I've spent a lot of time designing this toy, it's not perfect, and as a result, malfunctions may occasionally occur.

Here's a list of potential malfunctions and possible fixes:


	In this case, component 6_PLA (it's like a flap), which should lock the second cartridge, fails, causing the second cartridge to also be loaded and thus block the toy from functioning. This error can be caused by several factors, including a defect component 6_PLA that causes it to be incorrectly bent (due to improper gluing or damage caused during handling), or a problem with the magazine spring, which, if overly tense, pushes the cartridge too hard, eventually bending the part. The solution is to temporarily remove the trigger assembly to bend component 6_PLA slightly inward (therefore towards the opposite), but not too much, so that it can still assume the retracted position during the toy operation. Particular care must be taken not to bend it too much, and especially not to bend it without pressing on the glued section, which, if not done, can cause the glue to fail.
	This error can be very annoying if the cartridges are loaded, as it often causes the projectile to break inside the barrel. I haven't yet fully clarified the circumstances under which this can happen. The few times it happened to me was when holding the toy tilted too far to the right. If you find this malfunction occurring too often, I'll release a new version of the 26 PLA component (the carrier) that should fix the problem.
General maintenance of parts/components	Being a plastic toy, this model can break if used too aggressively. Therefore, I recommend handling it with care.

General maintenance of parts/components

Being a plastic toy, this model can break if used too aggressively.
Therefore, I recommend handling it with care.

Since the model is made of plastic, 3D-printed parts like springs or flaps tend to deform if left under tension for a long time.
Therefore, to preserve the correct functioning of the toy as much as possible, it is recommended to remove the trigger group when not playing with the toy, and position the handle as shown in the figure (in partially loaded position).

Old prototypes

This model didn't come together on the first try, but required numerous trials and a vast number of adjustments to perfect the mechanism, resulting in a significant amount of time spent on this project.
