IMPORTANT UPDATE!

A user recently informed me that this keychain may break more easily than expected when dropped. During my own testing, including multiple drop tests with keys attached, I did not encounter this issue. However, I did experience a failure (snapped links) when pulling the keychain out of my pocket, which suggests the current design may not be as durable as intended.

I am currently reviewing the design and working on a more robust version. At this stage, it appears that the pins connecting the links may be slightly too thin and represent a potential weak point.

I apologize to anyone who has experienced similar issues and has already downloaded or printed this version of the flexible keychain.

For now, I recommend waiting for the updated version before downloading and printing this model.

This articulated keychain is a sleek and functional accessory designed for practicality, style, and a bit of fun. It features a flexible, articulated design composed of 17 interlocking links that allow for smooth movement while maintaining durability.

What’s New:

• The keychain is now a bit thinner and thus prints faster and provides more space in your pocket

• Can be printed with 2 colors (just add a color change on the last 3 layers in your slicer)

• Top & bottom chamfers for ultimate flexibility

Print settings

0.2mm layer height works well with 2 perimeters and 25% Rectilinear infill pattern. 

Remove the part after the print sheet has cooled, then flex the sheet to release it.

I recommend using PLA for the optimal experience!
