I have uploaded a small update to the Face Plates and Power Button, I have now improved the snap in tabs so they are less likely to break, and the face plate should pull up tighter to the face of the case, I have also redesigned the power button cover, its now a 2 part system, the rear body is best printed from transparent, or a translucent white, this allows for the pass through of the power buttons ring LED, and the second part of the button cover can be rotated 90 degrees, so it can be used for horizontal and vertical layouts.
I have also uploaded Blank Step files for both the Face Plate and the Button.

This is where I would prefer questions and answers to be posted as it will be easier for people to search and find information in the future, I will be slowly creating build guides for these DIY Steam Machines and post videos from myself and from others in the community.
Small update: 3/06/2026
Refined version of the rear clamping brace, recommend printing from ABS-CF, ASA-CF or PET-CF (Not PETG-CF)
Has a 0.2mm rise in the centre to help increase clamping pressure and level out the back plate, recommend trying a thick thermal pad right under the APU, I have done this and it helps bleed off heat from the APU into the back plate, just use the same 10mm to 12mm bolts used on everything else, you will see a slight deformation of the PCB and Back plate once its full clamped down, this is normal, just walk the heat sink done by tightening down each bolt just a few turns at a time and go in a clockwise or counter clockwise pattern until the bolts are full tightened down, don't overtighten them, they are not head bolts on V8 :)
This brace will be included with my cases sold from my website, along with the additional bolts required.
For the Australian Market I'm considering offering a BYO fully build service, where you send me your BC-250 and Power Supply, I will then open the fins, supply all the other components, assemble the console, flash the BIOS, install Bazzite, pre unlock all compute units, overclock and pre-configure the console, and ship the fully built ready to go machine back to you, I could only manage possible 2 per month.
This service would be great for those that lack the ability to make this sort of project, or might find it difficult, I carry most of the parts needed to make these consoles, but would be willing to buy in P12 Pro fans by the carton, and I may even offer the little stats display, Mosfet Party power switch board etc, this service wont be cheap, but it will still be cheaper than the PS5, and better in my opinion.
Alternatively, if I see no interest in this idea, I may consider selling a complete, fully built and validated console, would be at the very most, 1 per month, and again, would be limited to the Australian Market, If id this, it would be fully built and ready to go, with a used 500GB M.2 Drive, as I have at least 8 of these available.
I know, if/when Valve drop the real Steam Machine, its going to be more expensive than we expect, and tit wont be that much better than this thing, and for us poor sods in the upside down, Valve gear is usually even more expensive, I think I paid around $1000 for my 64GB Steam Deck, so I feel this Console is just going to grow in popularity specially with the advancements being made with reverse engineering the BC-250 at the moment.
I have created a new page on my GitHub repo for the REDUX, I will be adding all the commands, fixes and tweaks for everything on that page, I have started with the fix for the Sabrent USB to SATA adaptors, these perform like crap until you apply the fix.

Massive Update: 29/05/2026
I just want to mention, I have been extremely busy with family and my fulltime job recently, so have been working hard in the spare time I have to get some of these changes implemented, models printed and tested before I release anything, I have also had to stop shipping cases internationally at the moment, I have had some returned to me by customs, with no reason or very generic reason given, this is costly for me, as having to send just one of these cases a second time takes all the profit out of 4 to 5 cases for me.
Once the current cases have sold, I will be making and selling on request, just contact me through the website with what you would like, and the country your in so I can check that I have successfully sent to previously, and I will send you a quote.
As part of my build to order system I can bundle everything except the PSU and BC-250, this will make it easier for some, this way you can just purchase all the required bits together, additionally, I can do a custom Faceplate and Logo designs, just provide me with an SVG image of what you would like and I can create something more to your liking.

New Face Plates with Styled Buttons and Optional LCD Display:
Each face plate has three button types:
Button for generic latching switch, this works with the normal latching button, that we use with this case.
Button for the FSP500 PCB, this is the button required to work with the full Mosfet Party PCB and the FSP500-30AS Power Supply.
Button to covert latching switch to a momentary switch, this will convert your existing latching switch, to a momentary switch, so it can work with the compact version of the Mosfet Party PCB, this is my recommend setup for generic FLX Power Supplies.

Please Note: For Adaptor 1, the wiring on the FSP500-30AS Power Supply is extremely short, and does not reach the front of the case, so the main 10 Pin Plug has to be extended, I did this by cutting it off, and adding in an extra 100mm of wire, you only need to extend 5 wires not 10 though, as there is multiple 3.3v, 12v and Ground feeds, you can just combine these to save on work.
Below image, shows the Adaptor 1 in place, and has a built in momentary switch, this is an excellent setup, but of course its a little more work on the wiring side, but it truly makes it feel and operate like a proper PC

Additional Storage Options:
Support for 2 x 7mm, 2.5" Sata Disks, and thicker and you can only fit one in there.
Recommend Adapator: Sabrent USB 3.1 to Sata
Note: I highly recommend looping both of these USB to Sata connectors out the back and one in to each of the USB 3.0 ports, if you try to run them through a hub, you will have issues trying to access both drives at the same time, its not just a power thing, its also and IO thing, and in some cases, the drives will only connect at USB 2.0 Speeds, so I would connect the front external facing USB hub to the USB 2.0 port, this is perfect for all your wire less dongles, keyboards, game pads etc, and reserve the USB 3 ports for these Sata drives, I spent a lot of money and time on all sorts of hardware trying to fix this issue, so best to avoid it.
Recommend flipping the bottom drove over and facing it downwards, as the Sabrent adaptor sticks out a little on the top, space is at a premium here, so it fits a little better this way.
I have created a simple 14mm high slide in caddy to accept the Orico NVME/Sata M.2 USB drives:
Note: Exact same issue as the above Sabrent adaptors, but with these ones, you will need to buy some longer USB cables as well: 0.5m USB-C to USB-A 10Gbs
Below image shoes the two Sata drives slotted in, these will lock into place, on the right you have a simple release tab to pull them out, as stated above, flip the bottom drive if your using the Sabrent adaptors, they will fit better.
Below image shows the Orico caddy in place, this locks in the same as the Sata drives, I prefer this setup, and made it specifically for me :) I snagged these Orico USB caddy's on sale for $22.50 AUD each, was a bargain to be honest, and I also snagged a stack of Sata M.2 500GB used drives cheap, so these are perfect for this use case.
Below images shows how the new faceplate and buttons go together, its extremely simple.
The below image is my personal REDUX machine, printed in a White Glass Fibre PETG, and Wood Infused PETG, this is using the FSP500-30AS, the Mosfet Part Adaptor 1 and has 2 x Orico drive caddys with 500GB Samsung M.2 Sata Drives.
System is running with the full 40 Compute units unlocked GPU at 2200Mhz and the CPU at 3850Mhz.

Case Version 4.1
Front Case Updates:
Added internal location for a second USB Hub, this allows you to either host USB drives internally or hide your USB dongles internally.
Location for the upcoming power switch board from Mosfet Party.
Strengthened the front to make it easier to install the front faceplates
Added slots in the front to allow for upgrades and modded front faceplates, this allows you to create a faceplate to show and LED strip light like the Pro case, allows you to install a LCD touch screen display, or anything else you think you like to install.
Adjusted wall thickness in a few locations to make the case print a little nicer
You can now rotate the face plate 180 degrees to relocate the power button on the right.
Adjust one of the front slots to allow for the power plug pins protruding from the PCB, the board was a little tight when slotting into the front half of the case, now its slides in much easier.
Probably a bunch of other little adjustments here and there, generally this case is a nice improvement over the the first version of the REDUX.
Rear Case V4.1
Created a universal rear case to accept both Server and FLEX-ATX Powersupplies, all you do is print the correct rear PSU mounting bracket to suit your PSU.
Power supply can now slide in and out from the rear of the case
I have modelled in thread for mounting the PSU mounting plate, and you can also install standard M3 heat set threaded inserts as well.
Fixed a few minor bugs and thickened up some walls to make the case print a little nicer.
The server version is designed for the "HP Common Slot" size PSU
New Foot Design:
Created a single long foot, you will need two of these per case, they are a 2 part system, outer should be printed in PETG, and the inner should be printed in TPU.

/////Split Hex Covers/////
Due to unbelievable amount of requests, Im proud to release the split upper and lower hex covers to suit 220mm2 build plates.
The panels these times are split into 3 peices, I have tried to move the join area away from the fans, so I thought I would try somthing different.
Each cover will need 6 hex joiners, print one before you print all of them and do a test fit, if its to tight, then drop your flow ratio a little and try again, -> DO NOT SCALE IT <- also please make sure you have calibrated your flow ratio, if you dont know what that is, then have a search on YouTbe, as there is a gazillion videos on the subject, bound to be one for your slicer.
You will need to print 2 of the Part A, and 1 of the Part B for each cover, and 6 of the joiners per cover.
Assemble with some CA Glue (Crazy/Super Glue)

I've uploaded newer versions of the fan mount, this was to address the false flag of the slicer saying supports were required.
I've uploaded newer versions of the side panels and the vertical mount, I adjusted the M3 bolt counter sink depth, as the 10mm bolts only had a few mm of thread engagement.

The Arctic fans are still my choice, but feel free to try what you have before shelling out for more fans as they may do the job.

The BC-250: I have purchased 3 now from this seller, and many others have as well, so they seem reliable, and the pricing is about the lowest outside of the USA.
Power Supply: A few points here, the cheap low cost Flex ATX, are called all sorts of different names, but they are all pretty much the same thing, junk, but they do the job, the 400 and 500w units are okay, just make sure they are cheap, make sure to compare the pricing against the Metalfish 500w as the difference between the Metalfish, and these other low costs units is like night and day, my opinion, is try to push you budget to the 500w Metalfish, don't waste your money on a 600, or 700w, its just not needed, I have pushed the 500w with water cooling to the point where the plugs have melted, and the 500w has never gone into OCP, but the cheaps one have, and they have done this well under the 400w rated power, usually between 360 and 380w, and they get really hot, there efficiency is rubbish as well, if you are in the USA, then go straight to ebay and try and pick up an FSP500-30AS for around $15 to $20 USD, this is also a top notch PSU.
All of these PSU have noisy 40mm fans, if you can afford it, buy one of these: Noctua 4020 Axiel Fan
