3D printable mold to pour silicone 9cm Westin clones YOURSELF!
No supports needed.
Would recommend ABS/ASA at the minimum to ensure quality pouring without destroying the mold.
You can print either the master itself to make your own mold from epoxy/silicone or print the slave (mold) I already made to get straight into pouring your own softbaits.
Mold has a ventilation hole on the bottom to prevent air bubbles. But will update in the future to optimise pouring. Great results with injection molding using an injector. Feedback is very welcome!!
Will update the design of the shad (and mold) further in the future to make it an exact clone. For now it only resembles the contour and shape of the Westin 9cm Shadteez, a great starting point.
The OLD original mold uses 4x M5 nuts and 4x M5 bolts (minimum length 35mm). No need for nuts or bolts in the new V3 Molds.
funfact: I learned to use Blender to make the shad, wich im really proud on...!
Updates:
UPDATE V2 16/02: The new V2 mold now features a 18mm injection hole to accomodate 16mm injector nozzles. Air vent hole got slighty changed aswell for better results.
UPDATE V3 21/02: Now features alignment pins so you can use the mold without needing bolts or nuts, but you will need clamps or a vise. Also made a recess to easier pry open the mold after pouring and cooling down.
I keep the original molds (and photos) on here incase you have better results then the updated version. Feel free to further improve this mold by providing feedback to me.
