Masterful Dungeons Floor Traps are designed as part of the Masterful Dungeons modular dungeon system.

These tiles introduce interactive and hidden hazards into dungeon layouts while remaining fully compatible with the double-sided tile system. All trap tiles are built as 2x2 floor pieces, allowing them to integrate seamlessly with standard dungeon floors.

Several different trap types are included.

Included files

• 2x2 Pressure Plate

  • A standard 2x2 stone floor tile half with a square indent indicating a pressure plate

  • Can be placed visibly from the start or turned upside down and later rotated to reveal the plate only after it is triggered or discovered

• 2x2 Floor Trap

  • A 2x2 stone floor with a square opening covering all four tiles

  • Includes two interchangeable trap plates:

    • Spikes

    • Abyss

  • Trap plates slide into a slot on the side to change the trap type

  • Additional plates may be added later

  • Custom plates can be designed, or a simple drawing on paper can be used

• 2x2 Broken-Off Floor

  • A 2x2 floor tile where most of the stone texture is missing

  • Uses a flat plate that must be glued in place

  • Intended to represent a collapsed section or chasm

  • Future versions are planned with a swappable plate design

• 2x2 Broken Floor

  • Similar to the Broken-Off Floor

  • Fewer stones removed, creating a partial collapse

  • Reads more as a hole than a full chasm
