Introducing a newly designed filament rewinder with virtually endless expansion possibilities.

• Critical parts can be printed horizontally for better strength (e.g., axles, bearing brackets)

• Easy assembly and disassembly via sliding, screwing, and snapping

• Exchangeable snap-in feeders to accommodate different spool widths

• Attachable add-ons available or planned: source spool holder for various sizes, power drill adapter, motor, filament cleaner, spool brake, run-out switch, etc.

• Compatible with multiple filaments: PETG (recommended), PLA, ABS, and more

• Smooth feeder direction changes without cut teeth

• Ratchet mechanism for the crank

• 1:3 gear ratio for faster respooling

• Dummy add-on can be used to hold the respooler in the basic configuration while cranking

All basic spooler parts are included in the file Spooler.3mf and are ready to be printed. You can reposition the items to suit your color preferences. Supports are only required for the feeder case and the main crank part.

Assembly should be straightforward by following the reference pictures. Use the 0.4 brackets for the spool holder, the 1.0 brackets for the other bearings. You can assemble all the axles outside the frame and then snap them into the bearing brackets. To attach the feeder assembly to the frame, insert the outer edge beneath the frame’s lip first, then rotate it into place.

Note: All screws are oriented normally, with one exception: the feeder gears must be assembled counter-clockwise.
