A simple model that is visually pleasing, designed to be printed in place for the Breeze contest.
It's best to print this model with a plastic that is multicolor. In the future version will come the possibility to print parts separately, so there will be more customization.
Changes:
- Added V2 with a higher tolerance between the parts and connector (cylinder).
- Added a folder for separate parts.
Fan size:
- 20 cm (length of the blades).
- 5 cm (length of the stacked blades)
- 3 mm per blade
About the model:
There is a tolerance of 0.3 mm between the blades and the cylinder where it's supposed to spin the blades.
In between the blades, there is also a distance of 0.3mm for a smooth experience
On another note, I am looking to print this with custom supports; for those to work, you have to block supports on the cylindrical part that keeps the blades together and spinning (photo no. 1).
Printing Advice:
- You can use the default settings on infill and parameters. I have used 30% infill with 2 parameters.
- Print with supports; it is recommended to block the supports on the cylindrical side (photo no. 1) so that the blades are rotating smoothly, but there were instances where the supports would not block the rotation.
- Use whatever material you want, but you have to try multicolor filament; it's just amazing.
Notes for printing on parts: Glue the side panels into the main body.
