UPDATE to the UPDATE:
First change, I rotated the front ends to better hold a keyboard when you want it out of the way. Â Second change is that the connecting rod holes are now static (old model used one of the infill holes which could change location based on print placement).
Still uses 1/8" steel rods, cut to 11" (or whatever you'd like) with a drop of epoxy. Â Throw on some rubber feet and you're good to go!
I print mine at 15% honeycomb infill with 3 layers. Â No top, no bottom and I use generic PLA. Â I'm still rocking an old MK2(s-ish) with a glass plate mode but if you'd like the gcode I use I'd be happy to supply. Â (Note: Â Position them outside down on the print plate to get a better look on the visible sides)
Apologies for the terrible pics and yes, I probably could get more dust on the keyboard!
