Airless Basketball (BQ Edition)

This is the Airless Basketball in cooperation with Biqu. It is optimized for the Biqu PLA-HR Filament

i recommend to use the .3mf File. I know the thumbnail is a bit confusing but give it a try. Because in this file the supports are already prepared in the model. It is not necessary to paint the supports areas per hand. I have tested it with PrusaSlic3r and BambuSlicer.

  1. Load the model as .3mf (You might get a message like “it can only load the geometry data.”)
  2. Activate Supports
  3. Set it on Auto(Normal or Tree)
  4. adjust the filament and printer settings as recommended
  5. Slice it!

Recommended settings:

  • Nozzle: 0.6mm (better) or 0.4mm
  • Layer height: 0.18 (for 0.6mm Nozzle) or 0.16 (for 0.4mm Nozzle)
  • Nozzle temperature: 230°C
  • Bed temperature: 70°C
  • Wall loops: 10
  • Infill: 100%
  • Raft Layers: 2

Special tip:

Because it is a very long print and the filament is not that cheap it would be a good idea to additional fix that print on the bed (just for the case). Before you start printing you need a few magnets.

  • Initial Layer expansion: 20
  • If the first few Layers are printed, put the magnets on the Initial Layer expansion to additional fix the print on the bed.
