WARNING DO NOT USE A 996 SERVO WITH A EBB36/42 YOU WILL KILL YOUR BOARD
the 996 servo can draw a peak of 1.5 amps which is enough to fry the 1 amp 5v rail that is found on the big tree tech ebb boards. I just found this out the expensive way, please use an altenative 5v source with 2amps or more
I suggest looking into a ercf board(affiliate link), those seem to use a 3Amp 5v chip, please do your own research and confirm this for yourself. I am not responsible for you frying your board and/or your servo,Â
This is a modification for the PICO MMU desgined by LH, it is designed to use the normal bill of materials but with the servo swapped for a 996 motor, you will also need one 1 m3x16 and 4 m3x6 screws along with 4 more 5x4 heated inserts (the same ones used for the rest of the PICO MMU).the design is needs to be printed with support enabled, I would recommend snug support since its only one spot that needs support. the design is supposed to be stiff and not flex when tensioning the servo motor's belt, I also increase the range of motion of the servo slightly to help with tensioning. I printed in elegoo pla+ 3Walls 20% infill. The heated inserts can be installed from the back or front, I changed the wholes to go all the way through because those heat inserts are in a really awkward corner
