Hi guys!
This Christmas, my daughter and I wanted to do something special with the Christmas tree.
Since she is a big fan of the Mario and Pokémon games on the Nintendo Switch, we decided that this year's tree would have that theme (although I have included a The Legend of Zelda medallion for myself, since it is my favorite saga).
So I'm taking the opportunity to share with you the 3D models that I have prepared.
So far I have only had time to create 5 different ones, but the idea is that each year I will add a few more, if I have time (maybe a goomba? a boo? Other pokeballs? I don't know)
I want to make it clear that what I am uploading is completely FanArt, and created by me from scratch, obviously using various references.
The software used has been mainly 3ds Max and Fusion 360.
Since I don't have a multi-color printer (at least not yet), I decided to separate each 3D model into different parts to make it easier to print them in various colors.
VERY IMPORTANT! Although the pieces fit together loosely, GLUE IS REQUIRED for assembly.
I want to thank TenkaDigi for creating the Sheikah Glyph Font used on the triforce medallion to put the hidden message.

Regarding the printing settings, I recommend activating the "variable layer height" option in your slicer since most of the pieces have curved shapes and if you are like me and don't like sanding, the layer lines can be very noticeable. Although they will never be perfect, they will have a much smoother finish.
For testing I used a layer height of 0.2mm and an infill of 15%. All printed with a 0.4mm nozzle in PLA.
Although all the pieces were designed to be printed without supports, the printer has to be well calibrated. But if you are not sure that it will print correctly and you want to avoid some overhangs, you can activate them with your slicer software.
All 3D models included here can only be used for personal use and never for commercial purposes.
