Rhinoceros Beetle

Rhinoceros beetles are large, sturdy insects named for the horn-like projection on the males' heads. They are some of the strongest creatures on Earth for their size, capable of lifting hundreds of times their own weight! These beetles are mostly active at night, feeding on fruit, nectar, and tree sap. They live in forests and woodlands around the world, playing an important role in breaking down dead wood. While their horns might look intimidating, rhinoceros beetles are harmless to humans and are even kept as pets in some cultures.
