The Manticore is (to my knowledge) the first shell-ejecting blowback 40mm launcher in the world. It uses HPA to cycle short 40mm grenades (shells shorter than 90mm), and fires in semi-auto.
I recommend printing all of the parts for this project in PLA+ or PLA PRO, at 80% infill or above for the receivers and 100% infill for the internal parts. The magazines and stock can be printed at 50% infill.
Parts list:
- .055" spring wire
- Pneumatic valve
- Pneumatic tubing set
- 1.5" ABS pipe
- 1" PVC pipe
- 5mm steel rods
- 6mm pneumatic tubing to HPA adapter
- An HPA tank, regulator, and line
- An AR15 style pistol grip (unless you choose the lower with a built-in grip)
- 2.5" 8x32 machine screws with matching nuts (4x)
- 1" 8x32 machine screws with matching nuts (x3)
- .5" 8x32 machine screws with matching nuts (x2)
- 608z bearing for the hammer (1x)
- 20x200mm spring
- 10x10mm spring (2x)
- 8x10mm spring (2x)
- M6 heatset insert (x1)
- 14x2.5mm O-ring (x2)
- 12x12mm spring (1x) (you will only need this if you are using the printed stock)
CAD files are included as well, so go nuts with the remixes and accessories! I will be releasing a few extra bits and bobs for this thing in the next few days as well, like a shell catcher and some tubing guides.
