Within the cultural tapestry of the Red Sith, the ceremonial flint knife holds a pivotal role as a revered artifact in the intricate rites of passage known as "Vein Racing."  or in some family lines as “Sithlume Ascension” This ceremonial tradition, deeply entrenched in the annals of Red Sith lore, signifies the transition of youthful initiates into the esteemed ranks of adulthood.
Legend tells of a subtle heralding of readiness signaled by bone spurs, prompting aspirants to embark upon the sacred journey of Vein Racing. The ceremony unfolds with meticulous precision, commencing with the strategic adornment of anatomically significant tattoos upon the wrists and neck under the auspices of venerable elders. These markings, imbued with symbolic meaning, serve as guides for the precise incisions that will delineate the luminescent pathways of the worms.
In preparation for the ceremonious event, initiates cultivate a native bioluminescent wormlike species within a nurturing poultice of nutrient-rich grasses, infusing the creatures with heightened vitality reminiscent of an amphetamine and steroid. Concurrently, elder mentors clandestinely tend to a second worm, shrouded in secrecy from the unsuspecting initiates, submerging it in a solution of barbiturate laced grasses.
Upon the auspicious day of Vein Racing, the ceremonial knife assumes its symbolic mantle as initiates and their designated mentors make synchronized incisions. With precision and purpose, initiates pierce the freshly adorned tattoos upon their left arm, while elder counterparts mirror the gesture upon the opposite limb. In this moment, the luminescent worms are ushered into the bloodstream, commencing their ethereal ascent towards the neck.
Eager eyes track the luminous trajectory of the worms as they navigate the sinuous pathways of veins, casting an otherworldly glow upon the flesh. Guided by ancient tradition, elders observe vigilantly, prepared to intervene when the worms approach the threshold of the neck. With practiced finesse, the ceremonial knife is wielded once more, delicately parting the skin and vasculature to extract the triumphant worm, aided by the diminutive beak of the worm loving and hungry feathered Faalad'hal.
In the culmination of the ceremony, Faalad'hal is presented to the initiate, symbolizing the attainment of adulthood and the culmination of their transformative journey. As custom dictates, the Red Sith partake in the consumption of the Faalad'hal, paying homage to the enduring symbiotic relationship that binds them to the luminous denizens of the deep.
