Behold the legendary Nightblood! A sword of exceptional power and a thirst for destroying evil.

I designed Nightblood as accurately as possible based on the cannon works and artwork from the Stormlight Archive series / Warbreaker book.

Above is an image of the sword printed at half and full sizes (kid added for scale).

12-01-2024 Update

A new segmented version is available for easier assembly.
A ¼ inch (6mm) cylinder now runs from top to bottom, for strength. This can be utilized for running a dowel down the core of the sword, or the optional ~6mm pin.
Two 3mm assembly holes run parallel to the 6mm cylinder.
The crossguard has been segmented to simplify printing and to make it readily available for printing on smaller printers.
Printable alignment pins have been added (optional)

Please note: The blade remains at full size, so you'll need to use the cut feature in PrusaSlicer to fit your needs.

Notes on printing and Assembly:

12-01-24: The new crossguard segments are easier to print, but supports and a brim are still highly recommended.
Given its size, this print must be cut to fit your printer in PrusaSlicer. At half-scale, I printed each section at a height of 120mm using the planner cutting option.
For best results, print with a brim.
Supports are required for the crossguard
Recommended layer height: 0.2mm
If printing at half-scale, I suggest printing with an infill of 20%
I have only tested this in PETG
