So what changed? I wasn't happy with the size of the original and I know a few of you weren't either. Based off some schematics I found for Sabine Wren's saber, I scaled this version up to have the same diameter hilt. This came out to a 12.5% increase. It doesn't sound like much, but it made a world of difference. Total length (not including the D-Ring) is 318.46mm ; roughly 12.5in. The shroud hand guard is 69.75mm or 2.75in
Some of the parts have been redesigned to make for easier printing and assembly. I have removed threading from the hilt and replaced it with my twist lock I used for the 'Quick detach' emitter.
The activation box buttons have been redesigned to be sturdier and easier to assemble.
Lastly - I have added a few details to the design that were not in the Rebels animated series.
As with the previous version, no glue is needed except for the charging ports. The prongs on the charging port are just filament. I inserted the filament, melted it on the back side of the charging port disc with a solder iron, then glued it in. Once set, I snipped the filament flush with the top cap of the hilt.
And yes, it still has the quick detach emitter!
