The Trains of the World Collection will feature some of the most iconic railways, from cities such as Paris, Tokyo, New York, London, Mexico City, Melbourne, Seoul, and more!

This entry contains parts for assembling a locomotive and cars.

1. Tops, print in orange
    
2. Wheels, flip 180 degrees to print with the flat side on the bed, in black. This way, no supports are needed.
   
   If you have MMU, you can add colors for the windows, doors, signage, etc.

These cars are compatible with our Generic Station parts and in the same scale. Combine parts and build the line of your dreams*.

The Mexico City Metro is a rapid transit system serving the metropolitan area of Mexico's capital. Its first line opened in 1969, today it has 12 lines moving 4.5 million people every day. It is the largest system in North America after New York City's. It is also one of the cheapest in the world, with tickets costing $5 MXN, or about $0.30 USD/EUR. 

During its construction over the decades, many archaeological findings have been made, including Mexica (Aztec) buildings and artifacts.

It has a distinct visual identity design, with a characteristic font and icons for each station, making it easy to navigate.

The cars represented in this model are not the most recent, but the most iconic. They have rubber, pneumatic tires and a characteristic orange design since 1969 (from Wikipedia).

Clarifications:

1. These MiniWorld3D train designs are not meant necessarily to replace or be compatible with any existing train scales or systems.
    
2. As such, we are not following any specific scales like HO, Z or N, but you can easily scale these models in your slicer to suit any of them. 
    
3. This collection will be as close to the MiniWorld3D “DNA” as possible: no supports, easy to print stylized and simple models that anyone can print with any setup. At the moment, we don't intend to add mechanisms, electronics, complex moving parts, etc.

Printing Tips

Suggested parameters:

No supports needed.

For better details, print slow, such as 15 or 20mm/s for outer perimeters.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: 12% or lower.

The initial scale is quite small, so feel free to try 150% or even 200% for more detail and having small parts that are easier to handle.

Glue is necessary for a permanent assembly.
