Dental Implant Large Scale Example with Multiple Parts

Update! Added cement retained abutment and molar. (molar will need to be cut in the slicer and then glued together. I used pegs to get it lined up. Thank you Prusa for that new feature in the slicer) Do Not glue this crown and abutment together, they are for explaining the difference between cement and screw retained.

Ever want to explain how dental implants work. Tried showing them with actual implants or photos or video, but realized some people need to feel and touch things to understand them? Then, this is for you. The complete implant was designed to be printed to be 10" tall. Of course you can change that size to fit your needs. There are multiple parts. You will have to glue a few parts together, but thats it.

Printing:

*Print as positioned on the photo. Print with Brims to prevent movement.

*I would recommend supports for the screw and healing abutment.

Load the pieces into the slicer
1. Impression Scan Body and one abutment should be white (these will be glued together)
2. Crown should be white and one abutment should be either silver or gold colored (these will be glued together)
3. The screw printed in silver. From experience, I would have more perimeters, maybe 5 with more infill, because if you tighten it down too much, it will break.
4. Body, healing cap, and wrench print in silver
