Update 2-16-24: I recommend using gorilla glue clear polyurethane glue to attach the TPU gasket to the main collector. Other glue types don't really like to stick to both PLA/ABS and TPU. 

update 11-17-23: I have added an adapter to make the dust collector fit a smaller 1 - 1/4 " dust hose and added a picture that lists the diameters of the different locations in the collector for everyone to get a better fit. 

Instead of spending $50+ on an Air Tip from Milwaukee that leaves dust shadows on the wall, I decided to make my own flat-surface (Horizontal and Vertical) suctioning dust collector that can be printed without support using PLA/ABS for the main body and a TPU gasket to glue in place.  

I designed it to fit vacuum hoses with an 1-1/2 OD, 1-7/8" OD, and 2.25" OD (for my craftsman shop vac) but an adapter could easily be made to fit any hose dimension (2.5", 4", etc.) 

I would recommend printing it with 5-10% infill to keep the weight down. With a 5% infill it weighs the same as the Air tip (~0.7 lbs) and suctions really tightly to cast concrete, plywood, and drywall. The top of the collector and base should be face down on the bed as shown in the pictures. I divided the collector and base into two pieces to accommodate smaller print beds but I recommend printing it in one piece for ease if you can fit it on your bed. I fit the whole thing easily on my Bambu X1.   

The TPU gasket should be printed with a 5-10% infill to allow it to be spongy enough to flex and fit to different wall textures. 3 small ridges have been added to allow it to get even more suction to the wall.  The TPU gasket should be printed with rectilinear infill with the flat side down towards the print bed.
