I modeled New Jean's Binky Bong light stick. The full project costs about $50 USD to make and the links for everything I used are below (American links).

Print Instructions:

I printed these on a Creality Ender 3.

I made a little mistake while modeling, so for the Top piece (the head) and the eyes, print them at 150% scale to make everything fit, or use the pre-supported GCODE files.

Electronics Install:

I used 12 LED segments from the LED strip in the above link. I soldered it directly to the control board instead of using the attached coupler on the control board. 

I also removed the USB male from the control board and the USB female from the voltage converter and soldered the wire from the control board directly to the converter board to miniturize it more. If you look at where the USB is connected on the converter board, pin 4 is for ground (black wire) and pin 1 is for power (red wire).

There is also a red LED on the converter board to indicate that it is working. You can cover this with a peice of tape so you cnt see it through the body of the light stick.

Although you can directly connect the battery to the converter board, I used the adapter in the box of the batteries linked above and soldered it to wires I soldered to the INPUT of the converter board. That way I can detach the battery for charging.
