Wind turbine holds 2 or 3 skateboard bearings. The 3rd is optional, but it can mildly improve rotational stability. Airfoil is designed with an industry accurate -15 degrees of twist. To be functionally accurate, the turbine should be spun in the counter-clockwise direction.

Planning to modify this model to hold a small motor to automate rotation at some point.

Printing:

Printing should be very straight forward. However, the primary piece of the airfoil can be quite intimidating. I recommend using a brim of 10mm or greater to guarantee bed adhesion. If you have an issue with this piece, you could reduce printing speed.

Nacelle endcap R1 uses pins to snap into the nacelle, while the R2 just uses a rectangular snap-fit hub. I recommend trying R2 first, as I accidentally broke the pins using the prior design. You only need to print one of them.

Assembly:

All components snap together. You could optionally use glue if you don't plan on ever taking it apart. All tolerances fit perfectly printed from my Prusa Mini. If you have issues with fitment tolerances I suggest trying a slight increment up or down on component scale. If you need help don't hesitate to leave a comment below! I am happy to tweak the model if necessary.

The “Penny Weight Holder” component is a tube meant to hold weights in the bottom of the base. Fill it with whichever type of weight you prefer. I used pennies I glued together.
