I decided to throw my Hat into the ring and make a skin for IG-11 from Star Wars Mandalorian season one.
This turned into a bigger project than expected, as I decided to make some complicated concepts for the head, which I'm most excited to share.
The main geometry for the head was scaled down and tweaked from this life size bust:
The two face joints rotate, like the droid in the show. The head parts directly mount to the neck, and are numbered on the bottom, if you're having trouble assembling.
All of the other pieces listed were designed by me using Tinkercad.com.
- The rest of the parts are found in Soozafone's Lucky 13 Model, so you will need to print the armature and 2 skin pieces (chest1 and waist) from that: https://www.printables.com/model/148367-lucky-13-printable-jointed-figure
I recommend printing the head at low layer height to get the fine details. I was able to print all pieces with NO SUPPORTS.
Other printing Notes
- Color change on the Bandolier was done at .6 mm from black to gray.
- I used a heat gun to mold the bandolier a little more form-fitting. very little heating is required.
