A co-worker of mine showed me a listing of one of these on Etsy and asked if I could make it for him. I said sure but I had a couple of concerns. 

First, the plate itself was made to replace your existing light switch plate and I'm not sure how safe that is. And second, that design required you to glue the handle to the existing switch in order to keep it secure.

I've fixed both of those issues by making the plate an overlay for your existing plate as well as adding a dowel on each side of the handle and a track in the plate to keep the handle secure so there is no need for glue.

HOW TO INSTALL

Fit the handle into the plate sideways and then twist so the dowels are in the track on the plate. Remove the two screws from your existing light switch plate while keeping the switch plate in place. Slide the Minecraft switch plate over the existing switch plate and replace the screws.

NOTES

• This switch was made to fit over a standard 2.75" x 4.5" light switch plate.
• Supports will be necessary for the plate.
