Each holder holds five spools of thread with a diameter of up to 35 mm. Slightly larger diameters are fine if mixed with other spools of a smaller diameter.

Edit August 2026: I added a longer version that also has room for a bobbin.

If you want to store larger spools of thread, I have two other designs available:

Edit February 2026: Rounded off the edges and reduced the z-height to make it fit a bit less snug, as some users were having trouble with the original dimension. If you want a more snug fit, scale the Z-axis to 4.6 or 4.7 mm.
