A model of funny glasses for celebrating the arrival of the new year 2023.
Printing:
Print takes a little over 2 hours and I reccomend to use color-change during print (the .3mf and gcode files are color-change ready). But of course you can go without color-change as well.
- Use PLA to bend the front part well in hot water.
- Use brim for the temples (see 3mf file).
- Custom supports are ready for the revolute joint of the temples and work well for 0,2mm layerheight.
Post processing:
- Remove temple brims and clean the edges.
- Bend the front frame a bit using hot water (or heat gun) and coffee saucer. Hot tap water was sufficient in my case. Also see the images.
- Remove small support blocks from the temples.
- Try to insert the filament into the holes. The holes will probably need to be enlarged.
- Slide the temples onto the frame and insert the filament.
- Trim the end of the filament.
- Enjoy the party ;)
