This model was designed by Dany Sánchez , in regular and multi-part versions. 

Since 2015, MiniWorld3D had a Danish model, the Wave in Vejle, a modernist apartment that also represented Denmark during our 2018 World Cup collection. However, it was time for a proper historical Danish model for the 2022 edition, so we went all out with this highly detailed, multi-part model!

You can print this in separate parts to have a colorful model even with a standard 3D printer.

This model is only a section of the building, not the whole thing, it is missing the sides. We will update this later and add them. See instructions below.

Børsen (Danish for "the Exchange"), also known as Børsbygningen ("The (Stock) Exchange building"), is a 17th-century stock exchange in the center of Copenhagen. The historic building is situated next to Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Parliament. Børsen, a popular tourist attraction, is most noted for its distinctive spire, shaped as the tails of four dragons twined together, reaching a height of 56 metres.

Built under the reign of Christian IV in 1619–1640, the building is considered a leading example of the Dutch Renaissance style in Denmark. It was renovated several times since. It housed the Danish stock-market until 1974, now it is the HQ of the Danish Chamber of Commerce (from Wikipedia).

MiniWorld 3D is happy to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Denmark. This model was created from scratch by hand and brain in parametric software to ensure printability, using photographs and blueprints to create a beautiful and stylized version of your favorite landmarks.  Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture!

Printing Tips

Suggested parameters:

For better details, print slow, such as 15 or 20mm/s for outer perimeters.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: as low as 12%

No supports needed for the single-part version.

However, supports are needed for the facades in the multi-part version.

Multi Part instructions:

The building is quite long, with a module repeating four times to both sides of the central tower. We provide the central part, and one of those modules, so you can print them a total of 8 times if you wish. We have not provided the caps (long ends of the building) yet, we hope to add them later.

Brick Red & Beige colors: print “1-facade-central” & “3-facade-lateral” lying down, with the flat side on the bed, USE SUPPORTS, when it reaches the point when it starts printing the details on the surface of the facade, you can pause and change the filament to a beige, for the carved stone highlights over the brick wall. Print all the facades at once to take advantage of the color change, the color change layer is the same in all.

Turquoise/Mint green: print the center and side roofs standing up, they do not need supports; a reinforced version has been provided when printing large, so that the overhangs have strength.
Print “2-spire” standing up, nothing special. Use a slow speed like 15 mm/s to ensure a good spire, it's very thin at the top. Cooling fans help a lot. It's easier than you may think.

Assembly: Remove the supports on the facades and stand them up. The roofs rest on ledges on each facade backside. The central and lateral modules touch flush side to side. Add the spire on top of the tower, make sure to align the 4 dragons correctly. Use glue to make this permanent.
