Claw Ring

Printing

Scaling:

The inner diameter of the ring is 10mm.
You'll need to scale it according to your finger size.

For that i recomment mesuring the circumference of each finger tip and scaling the ring according to the following formula:

Scale [%] = (circumference [mm]) * 100)/ (10[mm] * 3.1415)

or simplified:

Scale [%] = circumfence [mm] * 10 / 3.1413

Example:

Cricumfence: 40mm

Scale = (40 * 10) /  3.1415) = 127.33%

Material:

PLA / PETG

Settings:

Layer height: 0.2mm
Infill: 20%
Perimeters: ≥3
Detect thin walls: on

Cooling!

This print is pretty delicate and needs sufficient cooling.
Therefore I reccomend leaving the fan on at 100% the entire print.

Towards the tip of the claw, layer times get shorter and shorter and the layers don't have enough time to cool down before the next one is applied, which will lead to reduced printing quality towards the tip (as seen in the picture).

To reduce that effect you can either print two claws at the same time and separate them on the buildplate, such that the extruder travels long enough for the material to cool down on both parts, or if your slicer allows it, lift the toolhead and let it wait, if the estimated layer time falls below a certain treshhold.

Be aware of oozing though
