This is the second iteration of the previous Fidget Toy that I posted on Printables last month.  The idea for the second version was to add yet another type of movement to my original version while continuing to expand my 3D design and drawing skills with Shapr3D.  This version now contains an additional outside ring that spins freely around the inner bearing ring.  I also updated the model to allow you to insert the pull rod into either end of the toy.

As I stated with my last version, the key design goals were: 

• Create an  original and unique design that looks really cool.
• 100% printed in place (no assembly required).  
• Print in approximately 4-6 hours or less.
• Must have interesting moving parts that move in an interesting way. 
• Has to be fun to “fiddle” with.  

I'm posting this latest design for feedback.  It's prints extremely well on my Mini+ using Prusament Galaxy Black.  You do have to play around with it a bit to get the parts to separate and move freely after printing.  The only additional thing I did was added a little lubrication to the spindles to get everything to spin smoothly.  You know you loosened it up enough when you can quickly pull out the inner rod/plunger and the innards keep spinning freely for a few seconds.  Makes a fun sound when it works properly.

EDIT:  I've added a second/optional .stl file with the outer ring rotated 30 degrees to make it easier to loosen the 6 wheel bearings after printing.  I have found that loosening the 6 bearings is a little fiddly and when you rotate the outer ring 30 degrees, it gives you fingers a little more access.

EDIT 2:  I redid the slots on the top ball to make them rounded vs pointy on each end.  Also….prints very nice at 125% in PETG (see photos of print I did with Prusament Orange PETG.
