The Ubiquiti G3 Instant has a small base and is easily knocked over. Simply setting it on a shelf doesn't allow and vertical adjustment. This stand is a little more stable than simply setting it on a surface and allows full articulation up or down with the supplied mount.
There is one design with a solid base and back, the other has an open base to pass the cable end and a slot up the back for the cable. Â Either design benefit from supports.
