This is a printable model of the mount found on Sony E/FE lenses, which you can use to design accessories like extension tubes or custom lenses.
Print at 0.1mm layer height, in PETG (recommended), PLA, or my pick, ABS.
For ABS I had to set my filament shrinkage in my slicer to 99.5% to get an accurate diameter for the locating ring that is highlighted in blue below, the ring was too small otherwise:
This ring should be 46.75mm in diameter, if it's too large it can't be pushed onto the camera's mount, if it's too small the lateral fit on the camera becomes sloppy, although 0.2mm under should still be okay.
Design files have been provided in STL, STEP, and Fusion 360 project formats, so you can easily integrate this within your own designs.
2022-06-06 - Updated to improve mount accuracy, and improve printability in ABS.
2025-04-27 - Various tweaks, and F3D and STEP now includes an optional throat-filling body, which you can merge with the mount and then cut a custom aperture into to pass the light through. The throat-filler has the required clearance in it for the electronic contacts. Keeping the mount filled as much as possible strengthens the ring of the mount.
